Responsibility

Responsibility, from donor to patient ›

Our ethos

A patient-driven company, by design ›

Alvion Bio exists because of patients, and for patients. We never lose sight of the person at the end of the chain. We do not treat patients ourselves; instead we make exceptional cells and place them in the hands of the developers, clinicians and researchers who do. Every decision, from how we source to how we document, is made with that patient impact in mind.

Our commitments

How responsibility shows up ›

01

To donors

Source material is given, with informed maternal consent, from term neonatal tissue (amniotic fluid) that would otherwise be discarded. We honour that gift with transparency, dignity and full chain of custody.

02

To patients

Our purpose is real-world patient impact. By supplying dependable, well-characterised cells, we help our partners move faster and more safely toward the cures patients are waiting for.

03

To society

We give otherwise-discarded tissue new purpose, operate ethically, and contribute to the Swedish life-science community that helped create us.

Ethically sourced cells

Donor ethics

A gift, treated as one ›

Every cell we supply begins as a donation. Term amniotic fluid, collected at planned caesarean section under informed maternal consent and approved ethical protocols, becomes a renewable source of exceptional cells, rather than clinical waste.

  • Informed consent. Material is obtained only with the donor's clear, informed agreement.
  • Otherwise discarded. We use tissue that would not otherwise be put to use, taking nothing that is needed elsewhere.
  • Full traceability. Chain-of-custody documentation accompanies the material throughout.
  • Described honestly. We state our sourcing factually and precisely, and make no claims we cannot support.
Supporting paediatric research

Giving back

Supporting paediatric research ›

As part of our commitment to responsibility, Alvion Bio donates neonatal cells and materials back to our amniotic fluid supply partners, to support paediatric and child-health research.

It is a way of returning value to the clinical community that makes our work possible, and of helping advance research that can benefit children. The gift that begins with a donor continues outward.

Patient impact

From a single donation to many patients ›

One ethically sourced donation can be expanded into well-characterised banks that reach many programmes, and through them, many patients. That multiplication of a single act of generosity is the impact we exist to enable.

We make and supply the cells so patients can benefit from new therapies ›

Environment & governance

Responsible by default ›

A lighter footprint

Repurposing tissue that would otherwise be discarded is resource-efficient by nature. We aim to operate our laboratory and supply activities responsibly as we grow.

Sound governance

As a Swedish company, we hold ourselves to clear ethical and quality standards, with documented decisions and honest communication at the core of how we work.

This page describes our principles and intentions. Formal ESG reporting will follow as the company matures.
